I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

We would like to plant several larger trees on our property after the new building is completed. Although we have a green area of about 10 x 20 m (33 x 66 ft), there are no trees on the rest of the 60 x 20 m (197 x 66 ft) lot. What are the costs for a 3 m (10 ft) tall spruce or Nordmann fir, ideally including both transportation and planting? Also, which trees would you recommend?
@Deadree Phew... that doesn’t sound harmless at all. Thanks for your clarification.
Honestly, the residential area came first… The oldest houses date back to the 1930s. When we bought the plot, it was still in a drinking water protection zone. The old drinking water pump is even still located behind our property. In such areas, these substances would have been prohibited anyway. For example, we were not allowed to install a ground source heat pump. However, it has since been redesignated—no longer a drinking water protection zone. It’s good when people come forward with questions… maybe only then will new approaches be considered.
@hampshire Yes… I’m not going crazy, but I am aware of the issue and will raise it at the daycare center. On spraying days, the little ones better stay indoors.
