Oh yes, a nice seating area with a fire pit in the middle is something I wish for us too. But first, the house has to be built. It will arrive at the end of the month, and the topping-out ceremony is already on October 1st.

The paving was done by a young man who offers it as a side job. Great value for money in our opinion.

Yesterday, we finally received our archway. It was made by a metalworker, very sturdy because we often have strong winds here.
Yes, it’s not very pretty as it is – but it will be covered with ivy, so it won’t be visible anymore. Adding decorative elements would have been a waste of money.
Over the summer, while the ivy is still growing, we’ll hang a Susanne (a type of flowering plant) on it to make it look less bare.
