I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

So, we rented a mini excavator this weekend to dig our propane tank pit and to distribute the excavated soil somehow.

Here is the starting situation:
The view from the future living room is practically non-existent.

Large gray concrete slabs in the foreground, bushes behind, trampoline on the left and open field.

You also can’t get around to the left side of the house at the moment:

And here is how it looks now from the living room.

And here once from the garden looking towards the house.

There is still quite a bit to do, but my partner did a good job for one person. I only had a short guest appearance on the site because I got a back spasm (number 4 so far) after 10 minutes.

Great, except for the sudden back pain

Yes, especially at temperatures around 30°C (86°F) without any shade, he achieved quite a lot. He was also pretty exhausted afterward. We will distribute the remaining soil excavation with the wheelbarrow. There isn’t really much left now, considering the size of the pile before.

Hello everyone, here is a picture of our blackberry bush. Since the beginning of August, I have been harvesting every two to three days or letting all the locals who like blackberries pick them. The harvest is expected to continue until the end of September. After a heavy rain, the weight was probably too much, the support beam broke, and everything collapsed.
