I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Thanks to forced leave (quarantine), I was able to spend some time outside after several rough days. Not visible in the photo, to the right of the planting troughs, I still have about 30cm (12 inches) to the boundary, which I will use to build a kind of sheet pile wall with stakes. I will "dock" this to the planting troughs to widen the raised bed to about 65cm (26 inches) with a length of almost 13m (43 feet).
Unfortunately, I probably overdid it, so I am feeling worse again at the moment. But the rest is supposed to be clad with narrow wooden boards at the beginning of the week.

You would have gotten a "like" from me ;-) but for educational reasons, I don’t want to praise you for pushing beyond your health limits. ;-)

Not visible here, to the right of the planter boxes I still have almost 30cm (12 inches) up to the property boundary, which I plan to use to build a kind of sheet piling with stakes. I will then "dock" it to the planter boxes to widen the raised bed to about 65cm (26 inches) over nearly 13 meters (43 feet) in length. That’s quite similar to what I still have ahead of me over 17 meters (56 feet) in length.
What type of wood are you using? Douglas fir?
I have now stocked up on rhombus cladding made of Siberian larch and am curious to see how and when it will turn out.
On my property side, these are 60cm (24 inches) long leftover Bangkirai pieces (€1 each). Towards the neighbor, it will probably be pine with a thickness of about 4cm (1.6 inches). Wood oil and dimpled membrane should hopefully increase the lifespan to over 10 years. Alternatively, I could get larch as slab wood at similar prices per square meter. The 3x3cm (1.2x1.2 inches) construction timbers are also Bangkirai. Everything is screwed together with V2A stainless steel screws...

Looking at this, we still have quite a bit to do 🙂 Our terrace will be finished in the next few days. And something positive: the company got the stones at 25% less, so it will be cheaper accordingly. The same goes for the driveway... I think it’s really fair of your company to pass the savings on to you. That’s great, I’m happy for you.
