I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

How do the tomato stakes hold in the wooden slats? Or what else, besides the hole in the wooden slats, provides stability for the stake? You can see it quite well here… there is also a piece of wood at the bottom where the stake is inserted. Together, it holds very firmly. The wooden pieces are screwed onto the planters. H

If the two battens were connected with a cross brace at a right angle, it might be even better.

If the two battens were connected orthogonally with a cross brace, it might be even better. We mainly chose the location because the tomatoes are well protected from rain there (east side).
Steffi, I love your photos and garden design! You really have it all under control, but I think you also have an above-average amount of space (large garden) – right?
If you ever visit Münsterland, I would be happy to invite you for wine, beer, and grilled food in exchange for some "garden design" 😉
On Saturday, my roll-out lawn will finally be installed. Afterwards, I’ll share some new pictures of the fence and garden. So far, I’ve mainly planted lilac and a few other things. Maybe I’m impatient, but I’d like it to be much more colorful. The hedge will be planted only in August; we plan to use yew.
