I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Great! Such an atmosphere… Did you rent the camper van, or should I know that you have your own motorhome? 🙂

That’s why southern Sweden is pure relaxation for us,
and instead of repaying loans, redeeming, consuming, or investing in ETFs,
we pay the installments and spend the remaining buffer on the motorhome.
PS: we did not ask the bank

Strawberry harvest as of today: 52 kg (115 lbs)! The blazing sun does cause a few (rare) berries that ventured too far out from under the leaves to cook, but the others are now so sweet... it’s a delight! However, the peak of the harvest is definitely past... the quantity is decreasing and the fruits are getting smaller.

This harvest was from June 13th... about 4 kg (9 lbs):

I didn’t tie up one tomato variety because it has such strong stems and stands well on its own. Yesterday, however, the plants fell over. I hadn’t seen that before. It’s common for leaves to curl up due to lack of water, but the plants lying flat was new to me. There were no signs of wilting. They appear healthy.

I plan to reseed the beans for the project this week. Some varieties didn’t sprout at all.

How many plants do you need to produce 52 kilograms?

Strawberry harvest as of today: 26.4 kg (58 lbs) 🤨 Just as a reminder... here is a picture (from April) of the area that produced this. These were dormant plants, planted last summer (150 plants). They already produced a small late harvest then. So currently, this is the 2nd year of growth.
