I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

I did some more planting in the garden on Sunday.
You have a lot of paving in front of the house. Are you planning to do anything else with it?

Looks like a stinkhorn mushroom to me.
They’re probably not easy to get rid of.
Annoying or just a minor issue?

The snails definitely like this stinkhorn 😀
Thanks for the midday smile...

I’ve heard that lime helps get rid of them fairly well (just be careful with the surrounding plants). Otherwise, dig out the mycelium over a wide area.
Good luck!

Which garden pruner do you swear by, for example for roses? Felco 2 or another product? My father gave me a Felco 2 years ago, but now it’s lost and impossible to find.

Also, for thicker branches, do you prefer Felco 231 or 211?

now it’s gone,
Since our garden is complicated and not very straightforward, I have, for exactly THAT reason, no expensive pruning shears, but quite a few cheap ones. They’re all inexpensive, but they’ve been serving well for years, because the cheap kind keeps turning up :p

Felcos are really great, and the Kurumi pruning shear is a real pleasure to use. Of course, roses also grow beautifully when pruned with very simple shears. I find Fiskars quite good and still reasonably priced.

In our home, high-quality gardening tools, which all family members use, don’t have a good place. Something often gets left out in the rain, which tests my patience even with affordable tools.
