I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

I got myself a small Felco as a gift… but I don’t really like it. It’s still a bit awkward to handle, and the lock keeps slipping. Really annoying.
On my Felco (No. 6), the lock has a screw that you can simply tighten. Then it stays in place.
Is yours different in that regard?

I swear by Felco. There's no comparison to the ones I had before from Gardena. I also have the No. 6 model, and the lock has to be intentionally engaged; it doesn’t just fall off by itself. But you’re right, the color is important so the tool doesn’t get lost.

You have a lot of paving in front of your house. Do you have any plans for it?
No, not really. It’s just our carport above it, and two parking spaces in front. 🙂

Question for everyone: Does anyone know of a remedy that works against sorrel and barnyard grass in the lawn?

This week, work finally started in our garden 🙂 Whether the paving will ever be clean again remains to be seen, but we expected that. It will be fine.

It’s far from colorful yet, but I hope by the end of next week we’ll have something reasonably presentable 🙂

Finally, the tomato harvest is starting here as well:

Metal sieve with colorful tomatoes in red, yellow, and orange, larger and smaller varieties, on a stone floor.

Although I started especially early this year, we have never harvested so late before – thanks to the cold and wet spring and early summer. The tomatoes were in a state of shock for a long time.
I still have one plant I can’t harvest from yet (German Gold), as all the tomatoes are still green.
At least I didn’t lose everything to late blight (unlike, for example, my mother-in-law).
