Oh, I’m getting jealous!

I don’t need to grow beetroot since my husband doesn’t like it at all. But what a monster!

The corten beds have proven to be slug-resistant – none can climb up them at all.
However, they completely devoured my mint. So, we have slugs with good breath…

Just try beetroot. My husband and I don’t like the vacuum-packed or pickled versions. Two weeks ago, a friend served us fresh beetroot from her husband’s garden. Freshly prepared. Delicious.
Next year, we’ll have a few bulbs of our own.

And how do you prepare beetroot?

Almost all of our sunflowers are currently in bloom. The tallest one is nearly 2 meters (6.5 feet) high, and each plant still has several buds. Before that, we recently cut the cover crop short to incorporate it later. That’s why the area in front looks like this.
