I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

@haydee Yes, I’m in Baden-Württemberg. Garden centers have been open since March 1st.
Hardware stores are still closed :-(
I’m curious to see what comes out of today’s announcements...
But let’s be honest, it’s just like with hairdressers. I’d call it private shopping.
Call & Collect is already possible. Just call the store and make an appointment.
They will probably set up a few different chairs for you so you can sit down briefly…

Alessandro3 Mar 2021 08:11All the garden furniture I have seen so far in hardware stores does not appeal to me either visually or in terms of quality. When shopping online, there is a high risk that the items will not meet my expectations, and I am not keen on having to return these bulky pieces. 🙂
I would need a table with 8 chairs (unupholstered) and lounge furniture (upholstered).

I would add Solpuri to your list of manufacturers.
If you’re willing to invest, I recommend stainless steel instead of just aluminum, and ceramic tabletops for the table.
Never have metal armrests on chairs in direct contact with the skin, as they get hot. The same goes for the legs. The footrest should always extend beyond the frame to prevent burns.
Wood requires maintenance, so think that through carefully.
I don’t like cushions; we have mesh fabric on our chairs and are satisfied with it.
If you want something like a lounge set, pay attention to the frame. It should be at least aluminum.
Nowadays, there are fabrics and cushions designed specifically to withstand outdoor conditions without deteriorating. For example, Kettler Royal Lounge.
