I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Same here. Still, there is something appealing about driving there, inviting others, and leaving. Not having to cross the market with a heavy, overloaded, hard-to-steer vehicle.

Oh, a tractor. You actually own a real tractor, that's great. I really wish I had a ride-on lawn mower.

A bit small for a tractor

It only looks small in the picture. It’s a real tractor … and I love it. I mean the tractor, not hampshire. ;-)
(@hampshire: Please forgive me, but I’ve already given my heart away. ;-) )

sorry hampshire

if that’s a real tractor, then the last wash must have been too hot.

Still a nice toy. A collector’s item

It’s a Holder A12 from 1964, a narrow-gauge tractor (1m wide (3.3 ft)) with all-wheel drive and articulated steering. It was often used in vineyards. With a 2-speed power take-off (PTO) and hydraulic lift, this little one is very versatile. I’m looking for a wood splitter that can be powered by the PTO. The single-cylinder 2-stroke diesel makes quite a noise and has 12 hp. Driving it is still a bit bumpy for me since the clutch is stiff and engages after just 1cm (0.4 inch) of pedal travel (out of about 30cm (12 inches) available), the transmission is unsynchronized, and it only has a basic hand throttle. So, practice, practice, practice. Recently, I even managed to overtake a tired jogger! 😎 I’m looking forward to the traditional vintage tractor meet in the village this summer.
It’s a bit too heavy for lawn care, but would be quick for plowing.
Now all that’s missing is an old Unimog with a crane, but that will have to wait.
