I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Nordlys, I think the stone solutions look stylish! However, for me, there is still too much visible soil. Will it grow denser over time, or will more plants be added? I find it hard to judge (and I have already been advised that my planting bed has too high a plant density).

One of our friends is a master gardener and says this is enough, it will all overgrow. K.

In front of the house, an ornamental cherry tree and an apple tree are in full bloom. The former will have to be removed soon, but it grew crooked and twisted anyway. The apple tree needs some pruning, but it will recover. There's buzzing and fluttering around.

I also plant too densely. A bed probably takes about 3-4 years to fully fill in. The plants we put in haven’t reached their mature size yet.
On the other hand, I’m sparing with ground covers. Sometimes it says 6-8 plants per square meter (11-15 per square yard)… I only use three and am patient.

One year has passed. What a difference it makes!

Yellow single-family house with dark roof; terraced garden made of gray blocks.

Garden with a multi-level gray block wall, planted beds, and terrace.
