Hello everyone!
As some users have requested before, I’m now starting a new thread with the current planning of our detached house, which is about to be finalized.
These are the preliminary drawings for the building permit / planning permission application, and I have one last chance to review them and point out any issues.
It still seems to me that there is less than 1.20m (4 feet) of space between the two wardrobes in the dressing room. Or am I seeing this wrong? Apparently, the rooms on the left and right were overlooked and not adjusted accordingly.
Two Velux ceiling spotlights are still planned to illuminate the upper floor hallway.
In the basement, on the right side in the upper room, a window similar to the one on the left basement side is an option.
We still haven’t decided on the T30 fire-rated door to the garage, even though it is shown in the plans. Most likely, for safety reasons and the limited use of the kitchen at the other end of the house, we will eventually forgo it.
User 11ant pointed out that the right window in child’s room 2 is suboptimally positioned. However, this could still be changed after submitting the building permit / planning permission application. Our architect thinks moving the window to the left would negatively affect the house’s exterior appearance. We’ll have to see about that.

I'm a bit confused: wasn't this about a guest room? – without natural light / emergency exit? ? ?You're right. That's probably why they changed the labels from guest room and hobby room to basement room, even though there was a window.
Wasn't something like that required by regulation in the past? In my parents' house from the 1980s, there is a guest room in the basement with a tiny shaft covered by a grate and windows, but you definitely can't get out through it.
Now we're considering what to do.

Just because a room is used as a guest room doesn’t necessarily mean that this use was stated or approved in the building permit / planning permission. However, I remember that initially a guest room and a hobby room were declared down there. After preparing the building permit / planning permission application, these terms suddenly disappeared. I was also told something regarding escape routes.
I was referring to your childhood home.
Regarding your building permit / planning permission application: keep asking questions until you fully understand everything.
By now, various contractors might find my numerous questions amusing. But I don’t mind. It’s better to ask too many times than to end up with a result I would have preferred to be different. In your case, however, I sometimes get the impression that you don’t consistently follow through with your questions (for example, now with the room designation) and that you often rely more on others than on yourself. At least during a window-related discussion, I finally thought that you just do whatever 11ant tells you—even though you personally preferred a different option.

She said it’s no longer allowed to include it like that, but how I use it is my choice.

Otherwise, he came up with very creative and forward-looking ideas. That’s fine.

It would be terrible if someone were to build “my” house here. However, we still disagreed in several areas: I wouldn’t have a garage passage door, no double-width single gate either, and definitely no canopy “beam” built around it.
If you want to find a design that matches my taste as a client, it’s closest to @daniels87’s house in this forum — though I didn’t add much input there, it was already quite advanced when I joined.
