ᐅ Feedback on the Ikea Kitchen

Hello everyone,
things are moving forward for us now. After visiting quite a few kitchen outlets in the past, we finally decided on IKEA. Mainly because it’s affordable – secondly, because the kitchen salespeople were almost driving me crazy in the end (a $1000 discount because the sun is shining…). IKEA doesn’t offer any consultation at all… not great either, but still better than that.
We were somewhat fixed on the layout because of the windows… now we are even more set because of the utility connections… The screed is already in place.
The cabinet fronts are Hyttan and Bodbyn – we will buy the appliances separately.
We thought the waste bin should be a pull-out unit under the sink.
A quick note about the tall cabinet row (since it’s not that visible) on the left side of the plan:
60cm (24 inches) cabinet, oven, 60cm (24 inches) cabinet, refrigerator, small freezer.

We would love to hear your opinion. Are there any things we absolutely should change? Since neither of us really has a sense for design, we would appreciate any tips or comments on that as well.
Thanks and best regards

Too much wood, even if it is only Chalet oak, will dominate and overwhelm the room if half of the fronts, the countertop, and the backsplash are covered with it. You don’t even have a balance with white or high gloss.
I find the layout in the Nobilia better, but I would choose a carousel with a door in the right corner.

No LeMans or carousel solutions!
Dead corners provide almost as much usable space (yes, really!), are more cost-effective, and less prone to technical issues.

Search for "dead corners good corners" on Google.

I never understood that, maybe I didn’t want to back then.
My pots wouldn’t fit near the stove in this kitchen without the carousel, but the tip is often overlooked (which is fine), since it’s about the appearance.
In this case, it would be the door that matches the tall cabinets.
Personally, I find the drawer fronts too busy at that size (and all the handles just add to it).

@Koempy if you like, you can send a picture.
We will reconsider the use of so much oak. With the drawers, we will get another visualization today.

Hello,

our kitchen fitter also advised us against corner cabinets and the lazy Susan.

The additional cabinet space gained this way is lost again because you have to make the adjacent cabinets or drawers narrower in both directions from the corner.

Therefore, we also have two "dead" corners in the kitchen – but in terms of space and cost, we were still very grateful for the advice.

Regards,

Dirk

Our kitchen fitter also advised against this for the same reason. We have one "dead" corner as a result, but still enough storage space elsewhere.
