Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

Oh, real baseboards in the same color as the flooring?

Think twice about it...

We have them too, looks good

Sure, it’s a matter of personal taste – but visually, it makes the room appear smaller and also looks a bit outdated...

But of course, everyone to their own.

We also thought about it for a long time, but in our opinion, with the pearl gray and a white wall, it looks really good. Besides, once the house is furnished, the baseboard will certainly not be the focal point.

I cannot confirm that this makes the room feel smaller. However, white baseboards would not match our extensive use of wood anyway.

Right, Uwe, it’s not that easy to find the right tone. We also have a lot of solid wood furniture. You really have to be careful with the flooring so that it doesn’t clash. Parador was kind enough to send us a whole batch of samples to make the decision easier.

Everything has been delivered. Carried 62 packages into the house. Ready to go. Installation is scheduled to start on 18.07.16.

Now, except for the bathroom and WC on both floors, we have click vinyl flooring. So, I still need to get some transition strips.

There needs to be a transition at the doorways between rooms and from the bathroom/WC to the tiles. The tiles are finished with a metal strip. See picture.

Can anyone recommend transition strips regardless of the dimensions? I will look up the sizes myself. Thanks.
