Hello,
Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?
We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

We used silicone for this – so far everything is going well.

For the joints in particular, I used alcohol-crosslinked silicone and also apply a primer.
It is available in a wide range of colors.

Since there is already a nice large vinyl thread here:
We have planned to install solid vinyl flooring, floated on a Selitbloc underlay, in our new build’s living and dining area and wanted to place the order yesterday. However, the (alleged) specialist retailer now advises us against vinyl altogether, claiming it is generally unsuitable for direct sunlight exposure (living room on the south side with floor-to-ceiling windows). He mentions possible "blistering" (not warping) that, according to him, is unavoidable with vinyl exposed to direct sunlight, even when installed properly and professionally. There is no information about this online. What are your experiences with vinyl, direct sunlight, and "blistering"?
By the way, he recommends (oddly enough, more affordable) laminate instead.

So ours has been installed for a few weeks now. No problems at all. We have many floor-to-ceiling windows as well as a bay window. Even with strong sunlight, the floor hardly gets warm. No sign of blistering anywhere. I can’t imagine that Parador or Haro, for example, would sell a plank if that were the case.
