Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

I took some measurements. The step from the screed to the bathroom transition is about 13 mm (0.5 inches). With that, the Acoustic-Protect 100 at 1.8 mm (0.07 inches) and the vinyl flooring at 9.6 mm (0.38 inches) should be a good combination if I allow another 1.5 mm (0.06 inches) for the finishing profiles / transition strip.

What do you think?

Yes, that sounds good. We had about 12mm (0.5 inches), which just barely worked with the trim, 13mm (0.5 inches) should fit perfectly.

Great, then I will go ahead and place the order... Thanks

How does your vinyl flooring behave when exposed to sunlight for a long time, even through the window? Does it get very warm, or so warm that you wouldn’t want to stand on it barefoot?

How much money have you spent on your vinyl flooring, maybe on the highest quality one?

Regarding heat generation, I cannot contribute anything at this point.

Material costs only, including delivery
Parador Trendtime 6.30 Oak Skyline Pearl Grey 2200mm (7 ft 3 in) - €26/m² (sq ft)
Parador Acoustic Underlay - Protect 100 - €3.15/m² (sq ft)
Parador Baseboard SL18 Oak D058 - €3.32/m (ft)

I will handle finishing and transition profiles over the weekend.

Oh, real baseboards in the color of the flooring?

Think it over carefully...
