Hello everyone,

Thanks to a Google search, I found this forum and have already read some very interesting posts.

We are currently putting together our first IKEA kitchen. Style: white with Bodbyn fronts.

Using the IKEA 3D planner and their “kitchen experts,” we have made good progress with the design, and now we are working on the “fine tuning.” Except for the refrigerator (HÄFTIGT), we would like to choose high-quality built-in appliances for our new kitchen from brands like Bosch, AEG, Neff, etc.

At the moment, I am looking for a new dishwasher... I have found many discussions on this forum, but none matched my “requirements,” or maybe I missed a suitable thread.

I hope you can help me... for our open kitchen, I am looking for a “very quiet” dishwasher with a flexible hinge (Vario hinge).

Unfortunately, most models start at around 43 dB... I’m not sure if this might be too loud... maybe you could share your experiences.

Currently, we have the semi-integrated Bosch SMI68M85EU SuperSilence with a rated noise level of 42 dB... which should theoretically be completely adequate since it really does run very quietly.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

EDIT: I have changed the thread title, as it is no longer just about the dishwasher.

Hey

So far, we haven’t ordered anything yet. We’ll only do that once everything is 100% right! Your point isn’t without merit. In our current kitchen, the oven is also positioned a bit more to the left because the base cabinets on the right are wider.

I’ll check the kitchen planner to see how to represent this visually in a reasonably neat way.

At the moment, I’m looking for an oven with pyrolysis. Since I would like to have the twistpad from the company Neff, I will probably opt for an oven from Neff.

I’m still undecided though.

So steam cooking is not that important after all?
You can also use a separate oven and a steam cooker, each 45cm (18 inches) high. For most dishes, this height is enough, unless you need to fit a large goose or turkey inside.

You should try the Twistpad. From what I have read, some people never want anything else, while others don’t like it at all.

Well, I still need to interview the husband. Even though I am the cook at home.

Maybe pyrolysis is more important to me after all... I’m not sure. Unfortunately, I can’t fit two compact appliances (oven & steam oven) stacked in the base cabinet.

I’m going to check out this TwistPad in the store right away. If I really like it, I already have two NEFF ovens as favorites: Neff BCS 5522 N MK and Neff BVR 2522 N.

Even though I find the ovens from Siemens and Bosch more attractive. Maybe I will also reconsider the idea that the oven and cooktop have to be from the same brand.

Hello,

so.. yesterday I visited the furniture center again, and fortunately, a very friendly lady gave me a detailed consultation and I was able to test quite a few things. I’m really impressed with the Twistpad – not the Fire or Flat versions! So that will definitely go into the shopping cart. After comparing, I still have three devices left to choose from, ranging from 70cm to 80cm (27.5 inches to 31.5 inches).

As for the oven, I’ve basically made up my mind. After a short discussion with my wife, a steam oven is nice to have but not essential. After all, we still have a Thermomix. The Hide & Slide system of the Neff oven really impressed me. Together with the Comfort-Flex, I found this oven perfect. So, there are 2–3 models I’m considering here.

Since I’m still looking for a quiet dishwasher, I wanted to ask if the Neff S72P69X0EU will fit without any issues?!

It’s rated at 42dB, which should be quiet enough for an open-plan kitchen. And it’s also a great price compared to the others. Has anyone had experience with it?

Best regards

The dishwasher fits.
I wouldn’t want to do without telescopic runners either. For an oven that isn’t built in at a high level, I don’t see any advantage in Hide&Slide.
As far as I know, all ovens from Siemens, Bosch, and Neff (at least in the higher classes) are manufactured in the factory in Bretten.

Good morning,

first of all, thank you Ikea-expert for your help here in the forum. I really appreciate it.

I’ve been working on the kitchen again... now I’m back to the “U-section.” A quick question regarding the corner cabinet Metod 128x68cm (50x27 inches). This connecting hinge is adjustable, correct? So, I could attach a cabinet with a depth of 37cm (15 inches) on the side, right?

In the 3D planner, it looks a bit odd... I made a screenshot:

3D kitchen layout with gray base cabinets, wood countertops, and L-shaped kitchen arrangement

I’m still not sure if I should leave it like this with the dead corner on the right, or the other way around... meaning the corner cabinet would be on the right side of the straight run, and then the dead corner would be on the left.

Best regards
