Hello everyone,

Thanks to a Google search, I found this forum and have already read some very interesting posts.

We are currently putting together our first IKEA kitchen. Style: white with Bodbyn fronts.

Using the IKEA 3D planner and their “kitchen experts,” we have made good progress with the design, and now we are working on the “fine tuning.” Except for the refrigerator (HÄFTIGT), we would like to choose high-quality built-in appliances for our new kitchen from brands like Bosch, AEG, Neff, etc.

At the moment, I am looking for a new dishwasher... I have found many discussions on this forum, but none matched my “requirements,” or maybe I missed a suitable thread.

I hope you can help me... for our open kitchen, I am looking for a “very quiet” dishwasher with a flexible hinge (Vario hinge).

Unfortunately, most models start at around 43 dB... I’m not sure if this might be too loud... maybe you could share your experiences.

Currently, we have the semi-integrated Bosch SMI68M85EU SuperSilence with a rated noise level of 42 dB... which should theoretically be completely adequate since it really does run very quietly.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

EDIT: I have changed the thread title, as it is no longer just about the dishwasher.

IKEA expert, I saw it yesterday as well... of course, I’ll take it with me and sell it afterwards.

What is very important to me regarding the appliances:

Dishwasher: QUIET! We have an open kitchen, so we need a very quiet dishwasher.
The options are:

Siemens SX76P030EU ~ 450€ 44dB (I think this is a bit too loud)
Neff S72P69X0EU ~ 550€ 42dB
Bosch SBE65N00EU ~ 672€ 42dB
Bosch SBE88TD01E ~ 820€ 41dB
Bosch SBE88TX16E ~ 850€ 41dB

Did I forget any?

Oven: It must be capable of steam cooking! Also self-cleaning.
My current narrow list:

Neff BFS 1522 N ~ 900€
Siemens HS636GDS1 ~ 890€
Bosch HRG6753S1 ~ 980€
Bosch HSG636BS1 ~ 980€
AEG BS8304701M ~ 870€
AEG BS9304701M ~ 910€

I think all these models do their job well; it’s purely about the design, right?

Induction cooktop: At least 60cm (24 inches) wide, preferably 70cm (28 inches), with flexible induction zones and power boost.
No choices yet... I’m overwhelmed.

I haven’t looked into the range hood yet, but that’s coming... definitely need a ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted (headspace) model! And it must match the white kitchen as well as the other appliances.

Best regards and thanks.

The IKEA expert had already said everything about the appliances:
Use the extractor hood from Berbel and the rest from Miele.

Is okay... for the money, I'd rather get a small smoker for the garden.

Cooktop preferably 80cm (31.5 inches) or wider, if you cook properly.

The ovens do not have pyrolytic cleaning. With Ecoclean and similar systems, you still have to clean manually. Pyrolytic cleaning combined with steam cooking does not exist, only steam-assisted cleaning. According to their own claims, the cleaning system from Gaggenau is said to be just as good as pyrolytic cleaning. For example, the Gaggenau BS 47.

Good morning,

So, this ECO cleaning system is by far not as effective or successful as pyrolytic cleaning? Yes, I had already noticed that such a combination doesn’t exist.

Yes, the cooktop definitely should be larger than 60cm (24 inches). Preferably 70-80cm (28-31 inches). And there shouldn’t be any issues with the base cabinets, right?

Yesterday, I spent some time looking into the Neff TwistPad; I really like it… especially since we have children at home.

Regarding Gaggenau… I don’t really want to spend a fortune on kitchen appliances. Not even for a range hood.

I completely understand what you mean about the budget. The prices for range hoods really took me by surprise...

I’m not sure what stage your planning is at, but personally, I would move the stove further to the left by at least the width of a 60cm (24 inch) cabinet. This way, a) the main workspace between the stove and the sink remains clear, and b) someone can wash dishes or load the dishwasher while another person is cooking, without getting in each other’s way. The range hood wouldn’t be centered on the wall anymore, but I’m sure it can still be arranged in a visually pleasing way.
