Hello everyone,

Thanks to a Google search, I found this forum and have already read some very interesting posts.

We are currently putting together our first IKEA kitchen. Style: white with Bodbyn fronts.

Using the IKEA 3D planner and their “kitchen experts,” we have made good progress with the design, and now we are working on the “fine tuning.” Except for the refrigerator (HÄFTIGT), we would like to choose high-quality built-in appliances for our new kitchen from brands like Bosch, AEG, Neff, etc.

At the moment, I am looking for a new dishwasher... I have found many discussions on this forum, but none matched my “requirements,” or maybe I missed a suitable thread.

I hope you can help me... for our open kitchen, I am looking for a “very quiet” dishwasher with a flexible hinge (Vario hinge).

Unfortunately, most models start at around 43 dB... I’m not sure if this might be too loud... maybe you could share your experiences.

Currently, we have the semi-integrated Bosch SMI68M85EU SuperSilence with a rated noise level of 42 dB... which should theoretically be completely adequate since it really does run very quietly.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

EDIT: I have changed the thread title, as it is no longer just about the dishwasher.

Hello
Should it be a fridge-freezer combination or a refrigerator with a freezer compartment?
If you already have a separate freezer, even a freezer compartment might be sufficient, if at all.

Hey boss,

we definitely want a fridge-freezer combination. For that, we have chosen the tall cabinet 60x220 cm (24x87 inches) from IKEA. We are completely open regarding which type of door or other fittings will be installed. That will depend on the refrigerator.

The second large one from IKEA, "ISANDE," can also be installed there.

When I look at the refrigerators listed on Idealo with widths up to 54/55 cm (21/22 inches), there aren’t many alternatives, right?

IKEA only offers appliances for sliding doors, which is why the width is about 54cm (21 inches). You can also use wider appliances with fixed door technology. The important thing is that both doors can be covered with fronts of the same height.
Installing appliances with a plinth-mounted compressor might be problematic.

What does that mean? How wide can the refrigerator be to fit into the tall cabinet? 57cm (22.4 inches)?

Is the thickness of the side walls 15mm (0.6 inches) per side?

18 mm (0.7 inches), that is 56.4 cm (22.2 inches).

Hello
I installed a Beko refrigerator with a solid door in my IKEA kitchen.
It was very affordable and also very quiet; the only downside is that the interior layout (position of the compartments) could be better.
My model is a standard refrigerator for a 178 cm (70 inch) niche without a freezer section, as I also have a separate freezer.

Maybe this one could be suitable for you—it features a 0-degree zone and no frost, and should cost around 500.
