Hello everyone,
Thanks to a Google search, I found this forum and have already read some very interesting posts.
We are currently putting together our first IKEA kitchen. Style: white with Bodbyn fronts.
Using the IKEA 3D planner and their “kitchen experts,” we have made good progress with the design, and now we are working on the “fine tuning.” Except for the refrigerator (HÄFTIGT), we would like to choose high-quality built-in appliances for our new kitchen from brands like Bosch, AEG, Neff, etc.
At the moment, I am looking for a new dishwasher... I have found many discussions on this forum, but none matched my “requirements,” or maybe I missed a suitable thread.
I hope you can help me... for our open kitchen, I am looking for a “very quiet” dishwasher with a flexible hinge (Vario hinge).
Unfortunately, most models start at around 43 dB... I’m not sure if this might be too loud... maybe you could share your experiences.
Currently, we have the semi-integrated Bosch SMI68M85EU SuperSilence with a rated noise level of 42 dB... which should theoretically be completely adequate since it really does run very quietly.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
EDIT: I have changed the thread title, as it is no longer just about the dishwasher.

IKEA-Experte29 Apr 2016 21:10A base cabinet with a waste disposal system is not very useful if it is not located under the food preparation area, which is usually between the sink and the cooktop.
If the cook prefers to bend down rather than have the option of an additional steam cooker, of course her wish should be fulfilled.

Good morning. Today I’m heading to Ikea again to look at various things, especially to see if there are any acceptable interior fittings available for the 37cm (15 inches) cabinets by now.
So I might either swap the 80cm (31.5 inches) and the 20cm (7.9 inches) cabinets to install a base cabinet with a waste sorting system. We’ll see… Personally, I don’t mind if it’s placed right next to it, like in the current photos.
Alternatively, the long 37cm (15 inches) straight cabinet also makes a nice prep area. There’s enough space underneath… but are there bins that fit there?
Looking forward to it…

Have fun! There are two brand-new interior fittings for 37 cm (15 inches) drawers. Otherwise, there are many different boxes available.
You can also place the trash bins in smaller drawers. Only the Utrusta waste frame thing won’t fit, as it is designed for 45 cm (18 inches) drawers under sinks.

Hey
So... went to Ikea on Saturday, got some advice again, and had the entire plan checked. Everything is great. We changed the lower sink cabinet because, in my opinion, the large 80cm (31.5 inches) front didn’t make much sense. Now it’s a smaller one with a fixed panel above. That works... and we removed the UTRUSTA automatic opening hinge. After a week, you’d end up with a blue knee... it just didn’t work at all.
I still have two handles and knobs to choose from... I’m obviously taking the free Ikea dishwasher, and if I order directly in the store, the delivery arrives the next day! Not the 10-14 days you get with online orders. Plus, I get a dishwasher that I can sell right away if needed.
I also checked the fittings for the 37cm (14.5 inches) cabinets, everything fits.
“Basically” everything is done... I think.
Now it’s theoretically about the electrical appliances.

Doppellunt2 May 2016 12:50Hello,
it is quite logical that you get blue knees at a front height of 60cm (24 inches) and that the Utrusta does not open. To have more success, you would need to press with your foot instead, since the pressure sensor is located at the bottom. When you press with your knee, you only "bend" the front panel, and the pressure sensor does not receive any input.
We have been using the system (the original from BLUM, as Utrusta is only suitable for base cabinet installation) in a 40cm (16 inches) front height directly under the countertop – this has been working flawlessly for 15 months.
