yurjiHello,
It’s great that this forum exists. I’ve read a lot already, but I’m still a bit unsure.
We would like to use the following appliances.
Cooktop: Neff TTT 6860 N. I saw that, according to the description, this cooktop requires a countertop thickness of 3 cm (1.2 inches). We ordered one from IKEA that is only 2.8 cm (1.1 inches). Are those 2 mm (0.08 inches) really a problem?
Dishwasher: Neff GX 6801 TVS. I’d like to know if this can be used. If I understand correctly, you need a dishwasher compatible with "VarioHinge" fittings. According to the description, it should be. Do I also need to buy the hinges separately, or is it enough that the dishwasher itself is compatible? I’m really unsure about this. The dishwasher is supposed to have a two-part front panel, as if it were two drawers.
Oven: Neff BFS 4522 N. It should fit into a standard 140 cm (55 inches) tall IKEA cabinet. Will it fit there?
I would really appreciate any input.
Thank you

that probably depends on what is planned underneath the cooktop. If there is something running mechanically directly below, meaning on the underside of the countertop, the cooktop might protrude too far downward. And if it is an induction cooktop (sorry, I didn’t check): another factor is the necessary clearance to magnetic items such as cutlery. In this regard, 2 mm (0.08 inches) are likely not a problem.
Best regards!
According to the schematic, NEFF cooktops require a 2cm (0.8 inch) countertop thickness if there is no oven installed below. Otherwise, the 2mm (0.08 inch) difference generally wouldn’t be an issue, but in case of damage, the manufacturer could claim improper installation.
It is best to also install a heat shield base. Below that, you can have a shallow drawer with a 20cm (8 inch) front or a 10cm (4 inch) drawer panel.
