Hello,

I want to integrate the IKEA trash bin into my new kitchen under the sink and have chosen the Hailo 3631-63.
After looking at the installation manual

hailo-einbautechnik.de/img/Upload/pdf/Montage/3631-45_3631-46_3631-50_3631-51_3631-53_3631-60_3631-61_3631-63_3631-80_3631-90_3631-93.pdf

I’m not sure if the trash bin fits into the Maximera drawer.
The side parts of the bin are slid over the drawer’s rails and are supposed to align flush with the drawer. Does this work easily with the Maximera drawer? And should I choose a high or medium drawer for that?

Regards

Just a quick question, why don’t you use the system from Ikea that fits the Maximera drawers? I don’t see much difference compared to the one from Hailo.

Because the Hailo system offers more space and includes a cover for the trash bins.
Additionally, I find it more visually appealing when the sides are covered.

Hello,
the Hailo bins are taller than the ones from IKEA. Have you checked if there will be any interference with the siphon?
Hailo does not specify the height of the railing; I assume it would be the high MAXIMERA. The drawing shows round railing bars, so you should ask Hailo if the slots are wide enough for square ones as well.
I once had bins with a cover on top. Black mold would always form underneath, and I had to clean the cover regularly.

I bought the trash bin today on a whim and took it to Ikea. The height fits perfectly, and the side panel is also compatible with the tall Maximera drawer.

Regarding mold, I have no concerns because the countertop is only placed in position and not screwed down. Removing it for cleaning is therefore no problem.

Which tall Maximera drawer do you mean? The one with the 40cm (16 inches) front? Or the one with the 60cm (24 inches) front? And do you have a photo?
