Hello,

It’s great that this forum exists. I’ve read a lot already, but I’m still a bit unsure.

We would like to use the following appliances.

Cooktop: Neff TTT 6860 N. I saw that, according to the description, this cooktop requires a countertop thickness of 3 cm (1.2 inches). We ordered one from IKEA that is only 2.8 cm (1.1 inches). Are those 2 mm (0.08 inches) really a problem?

Dishwasher: Neff GX 6801 TVS. I’d like to know if this can be used. If I understand correctly, you need a dishwasher compatible with "VarioHinge" fittings. According to the description, it should be. Do I also need to buy the hinges separately, or is it enough that the dishwasher itself is compatible? I’m really unsure about this. The dishwasher is supposed to have a two-part front panel, as if it were two drawers.

Oven: Neff BFS 4522 N. It should fit into a standard 140 cm (55 inches) tall IKEA cabinet. Will it fit there?

I would really appreciate any input.

Thank you

Even though I’m 2 days late:

The induction cooktop fits, but you need a NYTTIG protection underneath it. Otherwise, the contents of the drawer might damage the cooktop.

2. Do not install it between two cabinet units. I have the previous model, and it fits exactly into an 80cm (31.5 inches) wide unit. When cutting out the opening, make sure to pay attention to the beveled end of the black cross brace.

If you still want to install it between two cabinet units, you have to cut off parts of the cabinets; otherwise, the cooktop won’t snap into its mounting brackets—and you definitely don’t want that.

That’s the 2mm (0.08 inches) that you’ll lose.

Oh, thanks for the tip. I want to install the cooktop between two 80cm (32 inches) cabinets.

Thanks for the advice about the protection; I need to check the item list to see if the kitchen consultant at IKEA took that into account.

I have now found an installer who specializes in IKEA kitchens and is a trained carpenter. I have already asked him if everything looks good so far.
