ᐅ Mounting Nodsta doors on the horizontal Ikea Metod wall cabinet

Hi,
We are having trouble installing our doors (Nodsta) on a 40cm x 40cm (16in x 16in) horizontal wall cabinet. It seems that the pre-drilled holes for the hinges are not designed for hinges that open upwards (Utrusta). Can anyone help? Thanks.

The flap fitting comes with a drilling template.

Thank you for your response.
The template worked for the Jutland doors. It didn’t fit the smaller North Sea doors. My husband has now fixed this with a wooden dowel. It was a bit of a DIY job.

Could it perhaps be not a regular door but a drawer front? And the necessary holes are located in the drillings of the front?

It is a standard door with large round holes for the hinges. The mounting for the Utrusta hinge fits very closely to the pre-drilled hole, so a screw broke inside the hole when being screwed in and did not hold.
