Hello everyone,
On two of our Faktum wall cabinet display cases/horizontal (purchased in 2007), the original hinges have worn out and can no longer be adjusted using the supplied Allen key.
The hinges look like this:

Attempts to resolve this through local customer service as well as by email have so far failed.
The email customer service always replies that the hinges are separate items called INTEGRAL, and I should visit the nearest IKEA store to exchange them after checking product availability online. Great—except that searching for INTEGRAL doesn’t show the hinges I need.
The lady at the service desk in Nürnberg/Fürth said they no longer carry these hinges and instead gave me small black gas strut door lifts for 5 EUR each (approx. $5.50), but those are apparently too strong for the Faktum Ädel display cabinet door—it now opens on its own.
I’m at a loss and getting quite frustrated... maybe you can help.
Best regards,
naed

schlanton22 Dec 2011 23:11Hello everyone,
Does anyone have instructions for the hinge brackets? I received them in Frankfurt as replacements for the worn-out black gas springs. However, they don’t fit because the screw holes are too small, and I’m not sure how they are supposed to be installed.
Please help!
