So, I'm starting a new topic here to avoid overloading the house pictures thread.

I find the sliding doors for ovens quite interesting – but do they really offer any added value? I was also surprised to read that ovens now seem to be adopting a feature I dislike in microwaves: instead of setting temperature and possibly time, you input the "dimensions" of the food?! What is that supposed to achieve?! Personally, I think it’s terrible.

Yvonne is probably no longer allowed to come near this Tupper Thermomix stone.

How was it with Markus Krebs: He says to the gym owner that at his place, the cross trainer is called "stairs" and is included in the rent... He probably doesn’t go to such parties anymore either.

I’m making Labskaus in the TM

That should also work for the skeptics—it’s supposed to look like it’s been eaten twice already.
Ah, I like food with a PR problem. Saumagen also falls into that category. And pears, beans, and bacon sound awful but actually combine the flavors really well. By the way, umami is also present in significant amounts in Parmesan, which is great for vegetarians…

I wanted to make baby food with the TM, but the child totally refused it. Doesn’t matter if it was store-bought jars or homemade, no matter the method or the ingredients. The child just preferred real food. I don’t think the second one will get any baby food at all. Eating together ended up being much easier.

I’m really looking forward to our new oven with pyrolysis. I absolutely hate cleaning the oven with the force of a thousand suns.
And I’m thinking about getting a drawer bread slicer. Pros: one less item on the countertop and no crumbs everywhere. Cons: it takes up a drawer (and we probably only have 80cm (31.5 inches) deep drawers, so 20cm (7.9 inches) more would be wasted), and our current slicer is perfectly fine and doesn’t need replacing anytime soon. It’s also a good one. Any opinions?

Bread slicer yes if you have space, no if you don’t. It’s that simple. In the end, a luxury that takes up space. A good bread knife and a bit of practice will do just fine. But it’s a different level of convenience.

No, the appliance is fixed. It’s either the existing one on the countertop or a new one in the drawer.

For the baby food, I used a €3 steaming insert for the cooking pot. Then just a hand blender and it’s done.
