can someone tell me what an oak countertop should cost?
We have about 6 meters (20 feet) to 7 meters (23 feet) of countertop, and this comes to around EUR 3,500, which I consider to be quite expensive.

nordanney6 Dec 2018 17:29Last year, I paid about €300 for 3m (40mm (1.6 inches) thick and 72cm (28 inches) deep - solid). However, I didn’t buy it from a kitchen supplier. Just google Worktop Express. No idea if they deliver 6m lengths as well...

Otherwise, try asking local timber suppliers if they also sell something like this. For the piece of wood, it doesn’t matter whether it ends up in the kitchen or is used for a piece of furniture. Just because it’s sold as a kitchen countertop, it can sometimes be expensive…
