I’m facing a really frustrating problem that I can’t seem to solve.
In my kitchen, there is a 90cm (35 inch) wide freestanding cooker from smeg (gas hob and electric oven) that I want to replace because the oven no longer works properly. To the left of this cooker, there is a 60cm (24 inch) wide Faktum base cabinet. Together, they make a total width of 1.50 m (59 inch).
(All other base cabinets are on the right side and cannot be moved.)
I would like to replace the current freestanding cooker with an 80cm (31 inch) wide base cabinet where a hob can be installed (hob not from IKEA). To the left of that, I want to install a tall cabinet measuring 60cm x 195cm (24 inch x 77 inch), with the oven built in at eye level (oven also not from IKEA). This would leave a 10cm (4 inch) gap on the left wall, which is not a big issue.
Since I inherited the kitchen and don’t know the fronts, which are partly outdated anyway, I plan to take this opportunity to replace all the fronts (there are more Faktum cabinets) so everything looks uniform and new.
So far so good—I found all the needed products online in the customer service section, EXCEPT: the countertop!
I need a Faktum countertop with a total length of at least 3.20 m (126 inch).
Question: where can I get this? What are the exact dimensions? Is it important that the thickness is only 3.8cm (1.5 inch)? Can I also use a Metod countertop?
The simple alternative would be to buy another freestanding cooker. But most freestanding cookers are 60cm (24 inch) wide, meaning there would be a 30cm (12 inch) gap, which would look awkward. Also, I really wanted to have the hob separate from the oven, with the oven installed at eye level.
What would you do?
Thanks so much to all of you!!!!

IKEA-Experte19 May 2016 23:53Hello, order a Personlig countertop at the furniture store. (Depth for FAKTUM: 62 cm (24 inches))
Of course, you can also inquire about a countertop at the hardware store.
