Hello everyone,
as the question suggests, I find it surprising that IKEA kitchens are quite affordable. How is the workmanship, meaning the quality? And what about the IKEA hinges? Do IKEA kitchens last a long time?
Best regards

What I really like about our kitchen is the tall cabinet for plates, glasses, and cups – I’m not sure if I would want those stored low down again. Although, if they are pull-out drawers, maybe it could work.
Does the refrigerator door open without obstruction? Otherwise, as Kerstin mentioned, it seems quite narrow.
I wouldn’t recommend the 20cm (8 inch) mini pull-out cabinet – we have an IKEA kitchen unit with one of those in the utility room, and it never closes properly.
Do you cook a lot? We don’t cook very much, and I’m glad that the stove isn’t the focal point of the kitchen; instead, the countertop is completely free.

I also noticed the 20cm (8 inches) narrow pull-out pantry cabinet at Ikea. But my wife really loves it for her oil collection. Unfortunately, I can't argue against that.

Is the utility room accessible from two sides?
Oil collection – a 20cm (8 inches) container is often rather ineffective, while a 40cm (16 inches) high pull-out, for example in a 40cm (16 inches) base cabinet, is much more practical.
Inner drawers can be awkward and impractical, especially when you need two handles for every knife, etc.
Do you spend a long time at the cooktop? Or do you usually spend more time preparing? Perhaps you prepare meals together?

IKEA kitchens are not assembled by IKEA itself. Their prices for assembly are very high.
This is a typical case for platforms like MyHammer. We paid 500€ (about $540) instead of 1,700€ (about $1,830) at IKEA for assembly in a rented house.
If you don’t want to use MyHammer, you can simply ask moving companies. They often handle this as part of moving services and can be hired separately without any problems.
We are satisfied with IKEA. Of course, you might run into trouble when switching from the Faktum system to Metod... but the Faktum system was around for a long time, and replacement parts are still somewhat available. No other company offers that! I also appreciate the possibility to simply replace the cabinet fronts after a few years (e.g., with small children at home and changing tastes) for a low price. Try ordering replacement fronts from brands like Nolte and others—you’ll have a hard time. Moving a kitchen like that is costly, the prices for extra elements are terrible, and 10-12 weeks delivery time is impractical and simply outdated.
