jules_163928 Nov 2012 18:51Hello,
after some minor issues (for example, the drawer doesn’t fit under the oven, so I paid for it unnecessarily and had to remove a cover panel…) my kitchen is finally installed. I just had the dishwasher connected and wanted to run it, but the upper rack won’t pull out. Is there a safety catch or lock that needs to be released first? I couldn’t find anything in the manual.
The upper spray arm hanging under the rack is connected firmly at the back to the water pipe that leads down to the arm. Normally, the spray arm should sit under the rack, and only the end should go into the wall opening to allow the rack to slide in and out.
Can anyone help me? I’d like to wash dishes soon…

Nayla_10682 Dec 2012 12:43Hi,
I suspect you simply picked the wrong drawer for the stove. These are shallower than the regular ones. Maybe you installed the stove drawer somewhere else and ended up with a normal one unused.
Regarding the dishwasher, I would ask you to provide a photo, as your explanation doesn’t really help. 😎

I’m having the same problem here... The installer (from the expensive company IKEA directly arranges, 150€ per meter of kitchen) apparently did a test run but didn’t remove all the styrofoam parts.
The lower compartment was easy to get running by removing two styrofoam pieces and two plastic clips. For the upper one, there is a white plastic sleeve hanging on the supply pipe of the rotating arm, connected on the left and right with very flexible plastic grooves to the upper metal basket...
@Hallo everyone else, HOW did you manage to fix this? Apparently, quite a few here had this (undocumented in the manual – seriously, IKEA?!) issue.
This thread is typical forum behavior: everyone describes the problem, but once the solution is found, it’s rarely documented. In computer forums, you often find the solution because there are more nerds writing detailed documentation.
...or have you all just been using the lower compartment so far, and never got the upper one to work?! What a situation.

IKEA-Experte28 Nov 2013 00:20If it only seems to be hanging at the back, I would try giving the basket a firm tug. However, I wouldn’t generally recommend this. Otherwise, you might want to contact Electrolux customer service.
