Juliette, did you manage to get all the fronts without any issues?
My nightmare continues; today I was told that the Kroktorp shouldn’t have been ordered anymore, even though I was told back then that it wouldn’t be a problem and that they would remain available, just not as a carry-out item. Today, I was told that I won’t be able to get some of the fronts at all! I’m really fed up.

IKEA-Experte2 Jun 2015 15:39Hello,
Yes, that is basically possible. You need to keep in mind:
1) whether everything will still fit the same way,
2) that for a 20 cm (8 inches) front, only a medium-height Maximera drawer system can be used, and for the 60 cm (24 inches) front you still need to connect it with the tall Maximera system:

I am considering whether I could replace the 40 x 80 door with a 40 x 60 door and add a 40 x 20 drawer front instead.. is that possible?

Thank you, Ikea expert,
then I will order it as a precaution.
I only need it as a cover panel… the base cabinet under the sink won’t have any drawers or anything, I just need a door in front of it.
But I think I can attach the drawer front even without a drawer; if necessary, I’ll use small brackets…
argh… Kroktrop… I’m even dreaming about it at night now

IKEA-Experte2 Jun 2015 17:02If it is a base cabinet for a sink, the brackets for the cover panel should have been included.

IKEA-Experte2 Jun 2015 19:08Of course, it can be done that way too, but why use extra parts when it’s more convenient with the right ones? See page 16, part 124535.
