Hello everyone,

we are in the process of building a single-family house with a basement suitable for living. This is the design we have come up with. I would like to hear from you if you see any possibilities for improvements.

On the ground floor, there is a side entrance door on the right. The carport will be located there.

In the basement living area, the children's rooms face south. From there, it should be possible to access the terrace and the garden.

I look forward to your tips and suggestions!

Ground floor plan: open living and dining area, kitchen, bathroom, hallway, and two rooms.

Apartment floor plan: kitchen, living room, hallway, and bedrooms with dimensions.

It is stated in #191 in the plan: 10.50 m (34.45 ft) in height and 12.18 m (39.96 ft) along the long side.

And I followed the same dimensions in my last plan.

Yes, but without the corner cut. You still have to subtract that.

The upper exterior length is probably about 10.75 m (35.3 ft).

Floor plan of a house: open living area with dining table, kitchen, bedroom, bathtub/shower, stairs.

Upper floor as usual – but with the technical room on top.
Entrance still flexible – I’m not sure what is preferred (with or without extra storage, large/small kitchen, large/small guest bathroom, or simply a bigger entrance).

I’m just thinking that as you get older, you probably don’t want to carry laundry up and then back down again, right?

The washing machine should be placed downstairs next to the back door. This door leads directly outside to the clothesline. Next to the washing machine, there is a laundry bag with two compartments—one for 30°C (86°F) and one for 60°C (140°F). This is how you ensure ergonomics for older people. I know what I’m talking about—I have hung laundry many times. k..
