Hello everyone!
As some users have requested before, I’m now starting a new thread with the current planning of our detached house, which is about to be finalized.
These are the preliminary drawings for the building permit / planning permission application, and I have one last chance to review them and point out any issues.
It still seems to me that there is less than 1.20m (4 feet) of space between the two wardrobes in the dressing room. Or am I seeing this wrong? Apparently, the rooms on the left and right were overlooked and not adjusted accordingly.
Two Velux ceiling spotlights are still planned to illuminate the upper floor hallway.
In the basement, on the right side in the upper room, a window similar to the one on the left basement side is an option.
We still haven’t decided on the T30 fire-rated door to the garage, even though it is shown in the plans. Most likely, for safety reasons and the limited use of the kitchen at the other end of the house, we will eventually forgo it.
User 11ant pointed out that the right window in child’s room 2 is suboptimally positioned. However, this could still be changed after submitting the building permit / planning permission application. Our architect thinks moving the window to the left would negatively affect the house’s exterior appearance. We’ll have to see about that.

Update: Over the weekend, the thief contacted me. I don’t want to go into details—that’s something we can do later, once the trouble is behind us and we can laugh about it together. For now, unfortunately, I have to say he carried his entertainment tax loss forward into the new year, so the collection is still delayed. Solutions are being worked on, and he’s not giving up, but the whole situation is unfortunately not “over the hill” yet.I swear on my club sandwich that I sympathize and wish the thief all the best! Building is often a nightmare; you just have to get through it and somehow keep your nerves under control.
Thank you for the information.
It is unfortunate that this seems to be the norm so often, and you are really the exception if you don’t have breakdowns during this time.

People built on prime plots, not infill sites or existing buildings; with uninsulated concrete slabs, doubtful or improper insulation wasn’t even an issue; projections and cantilevers continued unashamedly from heated interiors to the outside; in the middle of the room, a lamp cable hung from the ceiling; showers had a threshold and a handheld shower hose instead of a rain shower; radiator heating with raised floors where it didn’t matter from which side you measured the kitchen window sill height; the “only” difference in the specifications was whether the light switch covers were white or decorative; and so on.
