Hello

We are looking for suitable cabinets for our basement room.

The basement will be used as a storage and pantry area.

What cabinets would you recommend?

The cabinets do not need doors. They should provide a lot of space, and we will be storing many IKEA boxes.

The cabinets should also be quite affordable.

If you want something rustic yet functional and sturdy, Toom regularly offers heavy-duty shelving units. If Ikea is more your style, the classic storage option would be the Ivar shelving unit.

If you don’t want doors anyway, I would also recommend heavy-duty shelving. But make sure to use metal shelves, as particleboard shelves will eventually bend over time.

I have already seen the Ivar as well.
However, I haven’t found any information about its load capacity anywhere.

I have also been considering heavy-duty shelving.

We try to choose cabinets that are as deep as possible to make the most efficient use of the space.
At least 50cm (20 inches), preferably 55 or 60cm (22 or 24 inches).

The Ikea website states a maximum load capacity of 45 kg (99 lbs) for the 83x50 cm (33x20 inches) shelves of the Ivar system.

We have heavy-duty shelves with a 60cm (24 inches) depth in the utility room. Very sturdy and hold a lot. I bought them through e.ay classifieds.
