The total height and the height of the front panel are crucial to ensure the dishwasher fits.
In theory, you can choose any dishwasher, but it might look awkward if the fronts don’t align flush at the bottom, or if the dishwasher is too small, leaving a gap under the countertop (or requiring you to build an additional plinth underneath).
It is important that the following measurements are possible: niche height 880mm (35 inches) and front height 800mm (31.5 inches). For BSH appliances, this is only the case with large-capacity dishwashers featuring a Vario hinge. The one linked above is the cheapest option and can sometimes be found online for €450.
For your AEG appliance, for example, the maximum niche height is 860mm (34 inches), meaning you would have 20mm (0.8 inches) clearance above to the countertop. I couldn't find the maximum front height allowed, but it is unlikely that 800mm (31.5 inches) would still fit. This dimension is also the upper limit for the mentioned BSH appliances.

IKEA-Experte5 Feb 2016 13:46The installation does not include delivery. Everything can work out perfectly or just the opposite, depending on who does the installation. Check with your IKEA about what is included and what is not, and who will carry out the installation. I would also clarify any critical questions directly with the installation company before placing an order. Maybe I am too critical, but I have experienced a lot of poor workmanship in construction regardless of IKEA.
The dishwasher from AEG would fit. It seems to be a discontinued model. If you choose AEG, you can also buy from IKEA, as they are made by the same manufacturer.
Mostly Siemens large-capacity dishwashers with Vario hinges are recommended here. The dishwasher front thread has been accessed over 23,000 times, and nobody has said that the recommendation is bad.
If I buy a fitted kitchen, selecting fronts, countertops, etc. that I like and want everything to be perfect, a freestanding appliance with makeshift installation would bother me, just like a washing machine with a front door in the line of cabinets. But this is different for everyone. If it bothers you but not your partner, that’s fine for them, but you might get annoyed repeatedly. On the other hand, if it looks perfect, your partner will not be annoyed.

Okay, good, I will go with the SX76P030EU; it seems the most straightforward. The argument that it would annoy me didn’t really hold. The little extra it costs compared to the AEG shouldn’t matter anyway. These appliances are supposed to last a long time. I have now measured the kitchen down to the millimeter and can start detailed planning.
I will check with IKEA to see who handles installation and try to get everything in writing. Otherwise, we will find an installation company ourselves. I don’t want to consider installing the kitchen myself—especially with that wall. It’s good that this was pointed out! It’s better to be too cautious at the beginning than to regret trusting blindly later on.
Thanks for all the information! Without it, I probably would have spent another two weeks reading around aimlessly.
I think everything is clear for now.
Best regards,
Corinna
