grenzhammer30 Aug 2016 19:22Hello. I have a Faktum wall cabinet. The integrated hinges kept breaking regularly. I was now advised to use the Utrusta hinges. My problem is that while there is a drilling template for the doors, there isn’t one for attaching the hinges to the cabinet itself. The support hotline couldn’t help me. Unfortunately, the Faktum cabinet doesn’t have a second row of drill holes. Can I attach and screw the hinge directly on the top edge and the front edge? Or do I first need to drill two holes for the mounting pins in a specific location?

you can snap the UTRUSTA hinges onto the mounting plates of the INTEGRAL hinges, unless they are very old hinges.

IKEA-Experte30 Aug 2016 20:46Oh, those were the replacement hinges for faulty gas springs in the horizontal wall cabinet.
You need to mark and drill the holes in the carcass for the dowels. Distance from the front edge: 52 mm (2 inches), distances from the top edge (outside) of the side panel: 10 cm (4 inches) and 15 cm (6 inches).
