Hello,

I want to install an induction cooktop from Neff into a base cabinet from the Faktum series.
Today, the advisor at the electrical store told me that there must be a 4.5 cm (1.8 inch) clearance between the bottom edge of the countertop and the start of the drawer. This is urgently needed for ventilation of the induction cooktop.
I just measured, and there are less than 3 cm (1.2 inches).
How have you solved this problem?
Does nobody have an induction cooktop installed in a Faktum base cabinet??

THANK YOU

Hello, which cooktop is it exactly?

It is not the same, but it is the same drawing of this cooktop:

When I look at the drawing, the measurement is not from the bottom edge of the countertop to the start of the drawer, but rather to the start of the back panel of the cabinet carcass. But the back panel of the base cabinet goes all the way up to the countertop, doesn't it?

You are correct. 65 mm (2.6 inches) from the top of the countertop, so with 38 mm (1.5 inches) thickness, there is 27 mm (1.1 inches) of space left up to the drawer. For ventilation, you need to adjust the cabinet because the specified 2 cm (0.8 inches) gap between the back panel and the wall is also not available.

The 65 cm (26 inches) at the front are in place. The drawer is positioned slightly lower than the drawer front.

However, I don’t have the 45 cm (18 inches) at the back because the cabinet back panel extends all the way up.
That’s normal, isn’t it? Which cabinet back stops short of the countertop?
