I need to replace my refrigerator soon. So far, I had a small one, but now I want to install a fridge-freezer combination. The niche dimensions fit the new one, but right now I see potential issues with the doors. I have a 211cm (83 inches) cabinet divided into three sections: the lower door is 60x70cm (24x28 inches), the other one is 60x90cm (24x35 inches), and the top one is about 60x34.5cm (24x14 inches).
The problem is that the 70cm (28 inches) side isn’t exactly 70cm but only 69.4cm (27⅜ inches), whereas the fridge drawing specifies 69.7cm (27½ inches) for that dimension. Has anyone else installed this kind of setup?
I’d have liked to include a picture, but I wasn’t able to do so....
The fridge-freezer unit is 177cm (70 inches) tall, with the freezer compartment at the bottom and the fridge on top...

Take a look at the Liebherr ICUNS 3314 Comfort NoFrost or KI86NVS30.

Take a look at the Liebherr ICUNS 3314 Comfort NoFrost or KI86NVS30.So, I took some measurements... It won’t fit the way I planned. But I found another series from Siemens/Bosch that should fit. The KI87 or KIS87 models ought to work.
Thank you all!

IKEA-Experte9 May 2016 20:20You are dealing with the challenges of a very small freezer compartment, and you need to assemble the fronts very securely if the appliance has overlay hinges.

Küchenprofessor10 May 2016 02:15I worked for 9 years selling Ikea kitchens, so I am familiar with Faktum. The refrigerator fits a standard size that is available from almost every manufacturer, including Ikea with Faktum. I have personally installed external refrigerators with a height of 178cm (70 inches) in Faktum cabinets.
The last refrigerator of this size at Ikea was produced by Electrolux. Neither Electrolux nor Whirlpool manufactures custom sizes for IKEA, as it would not be economically viable.

I understand the total height of 178cm (70 inches), but according to the technical drawings of individual refrigerators, the bottom door panels measure approximately 60 to 72cm (24 to 28 inches). Wouldn’t door panels above 69cm (27 inches) cause issues when fitting, or am I misunderstanding something? Do you remember which models from other suppliers you planned or installed there?
Since you worked at IKEA, what were the reviews like for the refrigerators offered there?
