@Myrna_Loy No, better not 🙂 We already have our hands full with ours, as our kids have a strong interest in cooking. Cooking and eating generally play a bigger role for us. I also don’t want to rule out that the appearance was important to us, but the kitchen is meant to be used and will be used. By the way, the warming drawer is not intended for warming plates 🙂

If you plan a matte black kitchen costing 27,000 euros without any worries, with three kids, I’d like to send my boys to you for a parenting break. 🙂 If they damage the fridge with a skateboard, they definitely need one. 😀 SCNR

Yesterday, a dent was made in the fridge with a skateboard. The fridge is not part of this new plan but already exists. However, for the kids’ sake, we decided against the matte lacquer and chose Fenix. The price difference was relatively small (about 1,000 EUR).M

The fridge is not part of this design at all but is already in place. However, regarding the children's room, we decided against the matte lacquer and went with Fenix instead. The price difference was rather small (about 1000 EUR (around 1100 USD)). I just wanted to say that I wouldn’t choose the most delicate surface if you have children. Matte finishes have the issue that when cleaning, you can easily create either dull or shiny spots with the wrong cloth or cleaning product. These surfaces are more suitable for people who know how to properly care for them. Especially if the kids like to help out, I would choose a somewhat less sensitive surface than matte satin black. (When I was 12, I wanted to do something nice for my mother and I cleaned the kitchen really thoroughly... with the wrong cleaner. She still reminds me of that today whenever I offer to help her. The same thing happened later with the silverware after I’d read a clever cleaning tip somewhere. 🤨)
Our kitchen will not be delivered until October. 😉 For me, the main concern is just how sensitive the matte surface is to grease stains. However, this was not an issue at all with the sample panels in the kitchen showroom. Otherwise, we’ve had a kitchen with this type of surface before – but in high gloss – and it was really very durable when it came to mechanical wear. Therefore, it should actually be better than the satin finish, as long as you’re okay with the different look (edges).

So that is probably the second best (second most durable) option in the range.
