Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

So far, it has not been installed yet, but it has already been purchased from a specialized dealer.
We compared a lot of options and chose this one from the dealer because the price was very reasonable for me (original price was 29.95 euros/sq m).

The impact sound insulation is placed under the parquet, and the parquet is laid on a previously installed PE foil (vapor barrier).
I might also put a separate impact sound insulation layer on top of this foil before installing the parquet, but I still need to check if that could cause any issues.

The dealer has been selling this vinyl click parquet for years without any problems or complaints...

Thanks, yes, I also found the price of 29.95 euros/m² (29.95 euros per square meter). What price did you get from which supplier? Feel free to send me a private message. The construction sounds really interesting.

I paid 21 euros per sqm (square meter)!

Ok, thanks, I’ll give it a try as well. So far, I’m convinced by the construction method.

Does anyone else have a useful tip?

Today, we were able to pick up the new flooring along with the subfloor. Both the base material and the impact sound insulation are completely different. The company Classen will also send us a professional who will assist us.
