Hello,

Has anyone here installed vinyl flooring themselves, and if so, how did it go?

We want to install vinyl planks in our house and have already chosen them. I will contact the seller again soon, but I would be happy to read some personal experiences here!

Do you have underfloor heating?

No. Neither in the house nor in the future shop.

If it’s not a new build or the screed has not been redone, I think choosing cork as an underlayment is great.
It provides nicely warm feet.

Otherwise, definitely have the readiness for covering measured.

Great, that’s what we were also told: we are installing it over tiles. And children's feet on tiles in a children's shoe store is obviously not an option.

We also chose vinyl click plank flooring throughout the entire house from a specialized retailer at a very good price per square meter. We initially considered cork flooring, but it is simply not as durable and sturdy as vinyl click plank!

Which manufacturer did you go with? We are also currently considering it and want to use the vinyl click option.

HQ vinyl Tarragona spruce!!!
Installed with a 1.5mm (0.06 inch) cork impact sound insulation layer, then an HDF board, followed by another cork layer and a vinyl layer with sealing!
10.5mm (0.41 inch) thick!
They are all quite similar!
Similar to the Decolife from Bauhaus!

Thank you, that sounds very interesting. Are you satisfied with it so far? Since you mentioned impact sound insulation, what did you place underneath the "floorboards"?
