the dishwasher in my IKEA kitchen is broken, and I want to replace it. Unfortunately, I don’t know the kitchen model (it actually belongs to my landlord, who doesn’t know either).
Currently, there is a Whirlpool DWH B00 dishwasher installed (fully integrated). My question is whether it’s generally possible to install another fully integrated dishwasher of standard size (for example, Bosch SMV68M90EU), or if there are special considerations, such as specific dimensions? I have never removed or installed a dishwasher before. Is this something a layperson can manage, or is it better to have it professionally installed? Does anyone have experience with this?

in general: if you rented the kitchen with appliances included, it is the landlord’s responsibility to repair or replace the appliance...

Most fully integrated dishwashers will fit. Given that it is a Whirlpool appliance, I assume it is an "Ikea Faktum" kitchen. Before purchasing, you should definitely check the installation dimension diagram of the new dishwasher on the manufacturer’s website and compare it carefully with the actual front panel measurements and countertop height.
It is much more difficult (at least for now) to find a wide selection of suitable dishwashers for the "Ikea Metod" system. However, "Ikea Metod" kitchens were never sold with Whirlpool appliances. Since 2010, all Ikea dishwashers have been manufactured in Electrolux’s Polish factory, and since around 2009, Ikea has stopped listing the manufacturer’s name on the appliances.
