SorglosHello everyone,
Since yesterday, we have been facing a major issue with the installation of the dishwasher and its related parts.
Because the fixing bracket was not in stock, we had to assemble the kitchen without it and placed the dishwasher there as is.
Now we have some specific problems that we are struggling to resolve.
The instructions are important. I attached the feet of the bracket to the cabinets at position A according to the diagram (pages 7-10). So far, so good. Then we fixed the Ikea panel with the metal finish to the dishwasher door, also according to the instructions, starting with the hole above position A (page 30).
After that, I tried to hang up the front panel and was quite disappointed. First, the bottom end would not fit into the plastic holder (from page 10) because it was too high. In a rush, I moved the bracket on the panel down by two holes, effectively to position C (page 30). Now the panel can be attached somehow, but there is a large gap (about 2cm (0.8 inches)) visible between the panel and the countertop at the top. Also, the door no longer operates smoothly because it creaks and pulls. It doesn’t sound or feel right.
Another frustrating point: the 13mm (0.5 inch) gap (page 21) is nowhere near enough to make the metal panel flush with the other base cabinets. Could it be that the instructions do not actually match the FYNDIG kitchen with the metal finish panel?
What can we do?
Additionally, the two base cabinets between which the dishwasher sits seem to be slightly misaligned, so the two brackets do not line up properly. I still need to figure out how to correct this.

IKEA-Experte12 Aug 2014 13:10Hello, the instructions obviously do not apply to FYNDIG. FYNDIG, including the base, is 86 cm (34 inches) high, while Metod is 88 cm (35 inches). The size of the doors is also different. A METOD front is taller than a FYNDIG door. A 70 cm (28 inches) front from Faktum would probably fit better. The only option is to measure everything carefully, possibly use a FAKTUM front and install it without BEJHÄLPLIG, or figure out how a METOD front works and calculate the necessary measurements.
That's what I feared. However, we were told that everything would fit and that we wouldn’t need to trim the front separately. That wouldn’t even be possible because there is a steel plate on it.
Oh dear, I need to take another look at it tonight and will get back to you.
One more edit: Where can I find the installation manual without the reservoir?!

IKEA-Experte12 Aug 2014 13:40The installation manual should be included with the dishwasher.
First, measure everything. I don’t know the plinth and door dimensions of FYNDIG, I’m just guessing from the pictures that the plinth is more than 10cm (4 inches).
