Hello everyone,
we are in the process of building a single-family house with a basement suitable for living. This is the design we have come up with. I would like to hear from you if you see any possibilities for improvements.
On the ground floor, there is a side entrance door on the right. The carport will be located there.
In the basement living area, the children's rooms face south. From there, it should be possible to access the terrace and the garden.
I look forward to your tips and suggestions!

Tasteless and unsatisfactory to the touch, it doesn’t even smell like paper. Anyone who uses something like that might as well use Spotify for their music in the end. Seriously, with today’s small plots of land, having to live in a glass house that’s basically on display wouldn’t be for me at all. And windows that aren’t there don’t need cleaning either. K.

So you don’t recite poems and German ballads to each other for enjoyment and inspiration? Like “Die Glocke” and such? *LOL* now that’s what I call a contrast: on the one hand, over 400 posts in this thread, on the other hand, “today the bell must ring”

What I liked about option 3 is that the living room (sofa/TV) feels somewhat separate. Of course, there was the issue with the kitchen door – could that maybe just be a sliding door? Is there enough space for that?
In the other options, there was no cozy living room feeling; the sofa was in the middle of the room, with the dining table right behind it... no thanks.
