I want to buy an IKEA kitchen with a fully integrated dishwasher. However, I do not want to buy the dishwasher from IKEA. Which dishwasher can I buy that will also fit the front panel? I look forward to your answers.

I consulted with Otto again. Unfortunately, the people there have no idea. They keep recommending XXL appliances to me. Then suddenly, there are no appliances with a variable hinge at all. I found two Miele models here. Are neither of them equipped with a variable hinge?

The XXL appliances from Miele fit. Miele uses a different hinge design, so fronts between 69 and 81 cm (27 and 32 inches) in height can be installed without any issues. With Metod, you have 80 cm (31.5 inches). Another important point is that it also fits with Ikea’s plinth height of 8 cm (3 inches).

In addition, I find the upper basket in Miele dishwashers significantly better than in BSH models. But that’s just my personal opinion.

Many thanks for your reply.
Have you looked at both machines?
Is attaching the front panel easy?
Would you prefer the first or the second one with the cutlery tray?
Does the machine have an interior light?
Many thanks for your reply.

Attaching the front is straightforward, but the bracket might need to be screwed in exactly where there is a hinge hole in the door. In that case, you first need to glue in a wooden dowel.

We also installed a Miele XXL model (G6365 SCVi). Installation was completely trouble-free.

Our unit doesn’t have interior lighting, but that didn’t bother us. You pull out the drawer anyway.

We can highly recommend the cutlery drawer. The XXL models are taller, and the drawer makes good use of the extra space.
