Hello,

I have had a Folklig cooktop for several weeks, but it is missing the power connection cable. IKEA’s statement is that such cables are generally never included (although there is one attached to the oven). However, the connection on the cooktop itself is not with standard terminals but with two two-pole flat connectors each. The electrician said he cannot source this cable because it should have been supplied by the manufacturer.

The manufacturer does offer the cable as a spare part but refuses to send one. I can’t be the first person to buy this cooktop – does anyone know what the usual practice is here?

Best regards

Hello
I also have the Folklig cooktop and it did not come with a cable either. As far as I know, none is included. The Folklig is a standalone cooktop, so it does not require a stove or oven. Which stove do you have?
The cooktop should be connected directly to the wall power outlet; it does not need to be linked to the stove.
Best regards

Hello,
this is exactly what I want to do—connect the cooktop to the wall. I took a photo of the connection panel; my question is how to link this to the wall outlet for the stove:

The cable is supplied along with the clips and sealing tape. By the way, it consists of 2*2 cores and 1*1 core – see the manual (not the installation instructions).

The cable, as well as the clips and sealing tape, are included.

See page 8 of the installation manual. Contact customer service, show them the page, and insist that they address the issue, as Whirlpool refuses to send you the cable.

Thanks for the responses. Interestingly, the installation manual only shows the brackets and the sealing tape on this page, but no cable. However, we have now actually received one from Whirlpool, so everything is good.

(Except for the electrician who couldn’t manage to connect the cable to the cooker outlet in two hours(!))
