Sektionschef28 Nov 2012 22:12Hello
I am interested to know if any of you have an IKEA induction cooktop and how satisfied you are with it.
I am particularly interested in user experiences with the more affordable models Folklig and Tydlig.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards

We have the large induction cooktop from IKEA! Never going back to anything else! Cooking is a completely different experience, simply brilliant!
Before induction cooking, I think it was just warming food over a campfire in a cave!

So you probably have the Högvärdig, right?
How satisfied are you with it? I mean, it’s clear that cooking with induction is generally better than with a conventional ceramic cooktop, but how is the operation and the features of your cooktop?
How durable is it and how well does the boost function work, etc.?
Best regards

Sandra_Ne29 Nov 2012 18:51Hello boss,
I’ve been using the FOLKLIG for almost 14 days now, and for the price, it’s simply unbeatable. The boost function is definitely better than on some electric kettles. I haven’t noticed any scratches or similar issues so far. You just have to make sure that the bottoms of the pots and the cooktop are clean to avoid any scratching. The operation is okay, of course not as convenient as a Neff with the control dial, but it’s also three times cheaper. You get used to it, and anyway, you don’t really adjust it much.

I’ve also been considering the FOLKLIG. I found a similarly priced option from Gorenje, but Ikea also offers a 5-year warranty.

IKEA-Experte30 Nov 2012 20:59Think carefully about which control type suits you best. It would annoy me to have to press the +/- buttons repeatedly, beep beep beep, just to change the cooking level. That’s why I chose a cooktop with a slider, so I can select any level directly.
