IKEA-Experte24 Feb 2013 11:01Using the exact same model would not make sense; otherwise, the old ones wouldn’t have been discontinued. Have you visited your IKEA store? They might still have some older appliances available, and you can see which of the new models fits best. Nayla will be able to provide more information.
By identical design from Bauknecht or Whirlpool, I meant; logically, from Ikea would be pointless, of course. I also already checked the clearance section and so on, but unfortunately had no luck. I just find it frustrating to possibly have to buy a new microwave now, even though mine is still working perfectly fine...

IKEA-Experte24 Feb 2013 13:01You are mainly concerned with design, which is the key difference compared to Bauknecht/Whirlpool. Hyllad, RUTINERAD, and TJÄNLIG look very similar to the DATID appliances.
There are companies that even write on their website, "In the kitchen department, we need room for new products. That’s why we have significantly reduced the prices of many refrigerators, ovens, and range hoods for you."

Nayla_106824 Feb 2013 13:55Hello Gabi,
the Datid series is no longer available and has been replaced by the models mentioned by the IKEA expert. Although they are classified as "traditional" like the Datid, they hardly resemble each other in appearance. Therefore, they don’t necessarily match your existing microwave.
Now there is the option to buy new appliances or try to find an old oven. As the IKEA expert mentioned, the remaining stock is still being sold in the stores. However, there are very few left since the ADS deadline was already on 01.02., and the appliances were heavily discounted for final clearance. So, the only option is to check other stores to see if they still have ovens in stock. Would you be willing to travel to another store? Otherwise, you might ask in the respective kitchen departments if there are any display models installed that might not yet be sold. It never hurts to ask! The appliances have been tested by a technician and still come with a 1-year warranty.
If all else fails, your only options are eBay or classified ads. Or you could sell your microwave and buy both appliances new.
Sorry!
Best regards
