Hello everyone!

I would like to hear your opinions on our long-prepared floor plan, so I’m starting a new thread just before submitting the building permit / planning permission with the current design of our single-family house.

These are the preliminary drafts for the building permit / planning permission, and this is my last chance to review everything and point out any issues.

Basically, everything fits our needs, but before finalizing the detailed planning, there is still some flexibility and the floor plan might be adjusted.

I would be very grateful for your suggestions, ideas, and criticism!

Greetings from Leipzig!
Four views of a two-story house with windows, doors, balcony, and terrace.

My point was that you should consider the orientation of the rooms more carefully (cardinal directions). But it’s also possible that you just haven’t provided us with that information (see questionnaire), and we’re guessing here for no reason.

A balcony is not a must. Especially if it’s expensive.

Oops. Don’t panic just yet.
Filling out the questionnaire would be great. List any special requests. Then we can try out some options with you or look for suitable templates.

Gladly! I will!!!

Custom design, developed by adapting a plan found online

Where did it come from: the house provider's website or a floor plan image catalog?
What was the basis for choosing it, or why select one and not several as the "parents" of your own modification?

Originally from the provider Luxhaus’s page. Afterwards, it was modified beyond recognition.

Floor plan of a house: kitchen with dining table on the left, central dining area, living room and hallway on the right.

I tried working in Paint. I can’t sketch any furniture yet; we will buy everything new.

2. Is that included in the budget?
1. But you can determine how big the table is in the sample floor plan. You can mark that area on your actual table using painter’s tape. Then, during your next lunch, see where there wouldn’t be space for plates, pots, or glasses if your table were as small as shown. I expect the impact of this learning experience will be noticeable throughout the forum.
